This pandemic has been vey difficult. To me it seems like learning something new for the first time. I was so confused and uncertain of how things would when the pandemic began. It is very important to find someone or something to get you through the pandemic. For me, I would say my friends, family, football, and social media have gotten me through the pandemic so far. Friends and family are always there for me when I need them, especially during times like this. My teammates on the football team made me understand how important it is to be there for one another especially during the pandemic. I know if I needed a shoulder to lean on, they would be there for me and vice versa. Social media just brightens up my day. When I am feeling down, I go to social media ASAP. I either use twitter or Instagram because I know I will find something hilarious. I spread love by sharing funny memes and videos with my friends, family, and teammates. I look at social media as a tool that can uplift people. I have also learned information about COVID-19 and ways to keep me safe. There were rules all over social media especially the platforms that I use often.

Being a student during this pandemic was interesting. I was uncertain about how things would workout. When classes became mostly online learning, I was not doing so well in my courses. It was the first time I had to deal with something like this. I am one of the people who rather be in class than having virtual learning. It took me a about a month and a half to get familiar with things. I would describe being as student during this pandemic as a rough ride. Some main takeaways from this semester are to do my work ahead of time and how important it is to have a schedule set, so you will not forget things. I learned that I rather physically be in class than virtually having a zoom class. I feel like virtual learning limits my ability to learn as much as I possibly could. It is very easy to get distracted and somedays you I will have so much on my mind that restricts me from learning to the best of my ability. Honestly, I did not learn much about my community. But one thing I can say is that my community took this pandemic very seriously and made sure to follow safety guidelines. With all that I have learned through this experience, I hope to use this experience in order to know how to go about things if something like this was to happen again. I feel like this allows me to be one step ahead and I will be more prepared because this pandemic caught everyone off guard. No one knew what to expect and how long it would last. Therefore I can look at this experience as a surviving a pandemic manual.
